LANAP® is The Only FDA Cleared Laser Protocol For Gum Diseases
LANAP® Is a Contemporary Treatment For Periodontal Gum Disease.
The LANAP® Laser Surgery Costs the same as the CUTTING Gum Surgery.
NO Cutting, NO Sewing, therefore No Fear!
The LANAP Laser Gum Treatment protocol is a minimally invasive laser treatment protocol for gum disease. There is no cutting and suturing with the LANAP protocol. Typically less pain and discomfort has been reported during and after the procedure, compared to traditional periodontal surgery. This is a patient friendly procedure that helps reset the clock for yours gums by comfortably removing the bacteria that causes Gum Disease without the fear of Periodontal Flap (CUTTING) Surgery. Generally, the LANAP protocol is less invasive than traditional surgery and helps maintain a beautiful smile line.
The LANAP protocol is a patented periodontal (Gum Disease) treatment, cleared by the FDA in 2004. This protocol can only be done with the PerioLase® MVP-7; the laser operates at a specific wavelength that attacks the bacteria that contributes to gum disease while leaving healthy tissue intact. Post-surgical recession and tooth sensitivity, which can be significant following traditional gum surgery, are also greatly reduced.
One of the biggest benefits is for patients take medications, particularly aspirin or other anti-coagulants such as Coumadin, Eliquis , Pradaxa or Plavix, in order to have gum disease treated they are required to stop these medications for up to a week before surgery. A beneficial aspect of LANAP, is that one never has to stop these medications, as the laser creates complete healing, that there is no concern about any excess post-op bleeding.
