Bright Smile Design started in 1985 at 3060 Ocean Avenue in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn, founded by Dr. Valentin Lezhansky. Today his son, Dr. Alexander Lezhansky — an Associate Fellow with the American Academy of Implant Dentistry — leads the practice across four offices, alongside Dr. Leon Tuberman, a Brooklyn native and Tufts University School of Dental Medicine graduate, and Dr. Daniel Khaimov family dentistry.

What hasn't changed since 1985 is the approach: comprehensive treatment planning that combines restorative, implant, laser, and cosmetic dentistry under one roof, so patients aren't bounced between specialists for care that can be planned and delivered by one team.

We believe in "dental health care" over "disease care" — which is why every patient gets a thorough exam twice a year, including an oral cancer screening and X-rays as needed, not just a cleaning. Sealants are applied as early as appropriate to prevent decay before it starts, and every exam includes a review of your medical history, since your overall health and your dental health aren't separate conversations.

We pride ourselves on the cleanliness of our dental office and Infection control. Every office follows OSHA and CDC sterilization and infection-control protocols, with post-COVID precautions still in place to protect patients and staff alike.
