About Bright Smile Design Brooklyn

Bright Smile Design was founded by Dr. Lezhansky's father in 1985, when Sheepshead Bay was a different Brooklyn — a neighborhood built on fishermen, small business, and deep community ties. That practice started with a simple commitment: deliver the kind of dental care that a family could trust, at a price they could understand, in a place they never had to leave the neighborhood to find.

Dr. Alexander Lezhansky inherited that practice and that philosophy. A graduate of NYU College of Dentistry (2005), he went on to pursue specialist-level credentials that would let him bring procedures to South Brooklyn that patients otherwise had to travel to Manhattan for: LANAP® laser gum surgery (certification held by approximately 1% of U.S. dentists), dental implants at ICOI Fellow level, and IAOMT-certified holistic and biological dentistry — mercury-free, biocompatible, whole-body focused.

Today Bright Smile Design has grown to include Dr. Leon Tuberman, DMD (Tufts University), and Dr. Mehribon Mila Muminova, DDS — a team that collectively covers general dentistry, cosmetic and restorative work, implant surgery, laser dentistry, and holistic care. Four locations across Brooklyn, Manhattan, and New Jersey. The same core philosophy from 1985 unchanged: real people, real credentials, no surprises.

The practice has served generations of the same South Brooklyn families. Patients who came as children bring their own children. That kind of continuity isn't something you build with advertising — it's built with consistency, transparency, and clinical outcomes that patients can see for themselves.
